The
Greyfriar public house is situated in Chawton, Hants opposite the
original home of Jane Austen. It is as you might imagine the quintessential
old wood beam type of pub in a beautiful unspoiled Hampshire village.
The type of place where time seems to have stopped and you can easily
while away the hours over a great pint complemented by some astonishing
home made food.
The Greyfriar is run by your cordial host Peter (aka the grumpy fat bloke) and his lovely wife Fran (she's the tired hard working one) who together with their forever smiling staff (well we can only try, perhaps getting them to read this might help) supply the kind of old fashioned service that time long forgot (some people are thankful all that sort of thing has stopped, however most people seem to like its quaint charm).
So,
whether you're looking for that special kind of place for an excellent
lunch, or a fabulous evening dinner, or maybe just a quiet pint
or two, then please try The Greyfriar in Chawton, Hampshire.
