Douglas Green Sauvignon Blanc,South Africa. The Flying Griffin Medium Dry, very fruity characteristic of a new world sauvignon with a subtlet y usually found in a European wine.

Red

Berberana Tempranillo, Spain. Not a Rioja but plenty of character associated with wine of that region, low in tannin but high in flavour and fruit.

Don Segundo Merlot, Chile. Robust new world dark wine with plenty of complex flavours.

White wine by the bottle

Saint Veran, France. Domaine Deux Roches, Burgandy. This domaine is positioned only 100 metres from the boundaries of Poully Fuisse and benefits from the same chalky soil. Fresh fruit driven wines with good acidity and judicious use of oak gives a wine of great complexity, and it tastes great too. £19.50

The Gun Shearer Cabernet Sauvignon, Australia. “Top Gun” the best sheep shearer in the shed, and that’s how Beelgara think of this single vineyard Coonawarra cabernet. £21.50

The Gun Shearer Shiraz, Australia. “Top Gun” again but this time the single vineyard Shiraz from the Mclaren Vale. £21.50

Fleurie Chateau De Fleurie, France. This is a serious Cru Beaujolais wine, lots of light berry and cherry fruit. £22.50

Marques de Grinion Reserva, Spain. Oh how I love Rioja, this is a lovely wine that fills the mouth with warm rounded fruit flavours with a good finish. £23.50
